Body of woman found on Hwy 33 in Kelowna

Police in Kelowna are investigating after finding the body of a woman on Sunday. 

According to RCMP, just after 7 am, officers were called to a section of Hwy 33 and Nickel Road. Upon arrival, they found the woman's body. 

At this point, investigators believe the death is suspicious. 

“Investigators from the Kelowna RCMP Serious Crime Unit have taken conduct of the investigation," said Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy. "Officers remain on scene collecting physical evidence and canvassing for witnesses and surveillance video.”

The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time.
