British Columbians are paying the most for their gas than the rest of Canada.

If you live in Kelowna, then you're paying more than the average price of gas in B.C.

Gas prices remained at 139.9 litres on Saturday morning in Kelowna. Petro Canada, Shell and Chevron all matched and held at the same number, just below the W.R. Bennett Bridge off of Hwy 97.

And that seems to be the holding number for various parts of Kelowna - including Sexsmith Road, Glenmore Road and Leckie Road.

The current average in Canada, according to GasBuddy, is sitting at 121.6 cents per litre - that's a 16.6 cents increase from last year's average at this time, which was 105.0.

The following is a list of the average price of gas across Canada:

While British Columbia may currently have the highest average price of gas in Canada, it has not yet reached the highest recorded average.

In September of 2008, the highest  average recorded price was 142.4.

*Average prices weren't shown for the Yukon, NWT, or Nunavut.
