Construction is officially underway on the latest addition to Kelowna's growing skyline. A ceremony was held this afternoon on Brooklyn at Bernard.

The 25 storey mixed-use high-rise is going up at the site of the former Bargain store at the corner of St. Paul Street. The building will include 178 homes. Mission Group Vice President Luke Turri said it's been the answer to a strong need for multi-family density in Kelowna's vibrant downtown core. "Brooklyn has proven popular with homeowners who are attracted by the location, energy and amenities of the Bernard District," said Turri.

Brooklyn at Bernard Block will feature one, one plus den and two bedroom homes with square footage ranging from under five hundred square feet to over a thousand with prices starting in the mid 300's.

This building comes with a walkability score of 98 and shared amenities include a rooftop terrace and club lounge.

Construction is expected to be complete in 2021 with two more buildings to follow.
