Kelowna is a city that has seen rapid growth and transformation, and at the heart of some of its most exciting developments is Whitworth Holdings, a company with deep roots in the Okanagan.

The company's most recent development is a new multi-family residential rental property in the Lower Mission area, The Arbour. There will be two open house dates on Aug. 28 and Sept. 7, 2024.

It pays to come check out an open house, as you'll get special pricing on a limited number of select townhomes as well as one-time only special incentives. Renters will be able to choose from a basket of special incentives when they sign a lease that will include six months of free parking, two months of free rent, one year of free internet, a free electric barbeque and Uhaul gift card for your move in!

Whitworth Holdings, a family-owned business that has been around for 70 years, has played a significant role in shaping Kelowna’s landscape. Cam Costley, General Manager at Whitworth Holdings, shared in a recent interview that the company is now in its third generation of family ownership, a testament to their long-term commitment to the area.

"We’re proud to be a Kelowna-based company, and we don’t want to be anywhere else but the Okanagan," Costley said.

As Kelowna continues to grow, the demand for quality rental housing has skyrocketed. In response, Whitworth Holdings developed The Arbour at Lakeshore, Whitworth Holdings has owned the site since the early 1960s, and they have now completed two phases of residential development there.

What makes The Arbour different from other rental developments is its focus on thoughtful design and commitment to community. The Arbour offers a variety of living options, including studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments, as well as townhomes, all located in a vibrant neighbourhood.

The property’s prime location, just three minutes from Sarsons Park, makes it an attractive option for those who want to enjoy the natural beauty of Kelowna while still being close to all the amenities.

"We’re proud to create quality, amenity-rich spaces for people to call home," Costley said.

One of the standout features of The Arbour at Lakeshore is its focus on community and convenience. The property includes a range of amenities designed to enhance residents’ quality of life.

"We’ve included everything from a dog park and a community garden to a fitness area and EV chargers," Costley explained.

The property also offers unique features that set it apart from other rental options in the area. For example, each unit includes a walk-in storage space located right at the front door.

"We didn’t want residents to have to trek down to a basement storage unit every time they needed something," Costley said, noting that this design also helps preserve the condition of the apartments.

The Arbour at Lakeshore’s location in the Lower Mission area is another major selling point. The neighborhood is known for its family-friendly atmosphere and excellent schools, making it one of the most desirable places to live in Kelowna.

The property is also conveniently located near the H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre, the Mission Creek Greenway, and several shopping centres, including Save-On-Foods and Lakeside Market.

For those interested in renting at The Arbour at Lakeshore, the property is already 75% occupied, despite only opening on July 1, 2024.

However, there are still units available, and Whitworth Holdings is offering special incentives for those who attend their upcoming open houses on Aug. 28, 2024 from 5 pm to 8 pm and on Sep 7, 2024 from 10 am to 2 pm.

Make sure to check out an open house, and register your interest in a unit here.
