Kelowna golfers who aren’t ready to put away the clubs for the winter are in luck.

Shadow Ridge Golf Club has announced that the course will reopen to players today and plans on staying open throughout the weekend.

For those who haven’t checked their calendar recently, that means December golf!

With Kelowna expecting milder weather from now until Monday, Shadow Ridge has decided to take full advantage.

Tee times start at 9 a.m. today and the prices are adjusted to reflect the season as well, with 18 holes costing $35 and a quick nine setting you back $20.

Although the plan is to be open for the next four days, it’s best to give the course a quick call before heading over there to make sure things haven’t changed.

“Going forward tee times and the course will be weather and frost dependent, until the weather stops playing around with us,” says a release from the golf club.

“Feel free to give us a call to see if we are open, we'll be happy to let you know as we will be taking this day by day.”

Looking at the 7-day forecast, however, it looks like their plan to stay open through Sunday is a fairly safe one, as temperatures are expected to stay above 0°C until Monday.
