A rock legend will be making his way to the Central Okanagan later this year.

John Fogerty announced a pair of British Columbia concert dates today, which includes a stop at Prospera Place in Kelowna on Wednesday, Aug. 21.

Fogerty, of course, was the frontman for the iconic band Creedence Clearwater Revival (CCR) and has enjoyed a fruitful solo career over the past five decades and change.

His 2024 summer tour is all about celebrating CCR, which means you’ll surely hear classics like “Bad Moon Rising,” “Down on the Corner,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” “Proud Mary” and plenty others at Prospera in August.

George Thorogood & The Destroyers are also serving as the opening act for many of Fogerty’s summer shows, but it has not been confirmed whether he will be a part of the show in Kelowna.

Along with those CCR hits, another song you’ll almost certainly hear in August is the iconic track “Centerfield,” which earned Fogerty an induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

As you might expect, he’s the only man who is in both the Baseball Hall of Fame and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Tickets to see Fogerty at Prospera Place on Aug. 21 will go on sale through Live Nation at 10 am on Friday, April 19.
