Another three schools in the Okanagan were added to the COVID-19 exposure list on Saturday.

According to School District 23, confirmed cases of the virus were recorded at Springvalley Elementary, South Rutland Elementary and Mount Boucherie Secondary. The district did not mention students or staff contracted the virus.

The affected individuals are self-isolating at home with support from local public health teams. Interior Health will follow up with anyone who is at risk of contracting the virus.

"The safety and well-being of students, families and staff remains our highest priority," wrote the district. "Central Okanagan Public Schools will continue to implement strict health and safety protocols that are in place so students and staff can continue to attend school as safely as possible."

Anyone who feels sick is urged to stay home to further reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
