Interior Health has confirmed a COVID-19 exposure event at a French-language school in Kelowna.
According to health officials, a member of the École de l’Anse-au-sable elementary and secondary school community tested positive for the coronavirus, but no further details can be released due to privacy concerns.
The individual was at the school on Oct. 13, 14 and 15.
"The important aspect to note is that public health will directly contact anyone who may have been exposed," said IH in an email to KelownaNow.
"If you have not heard from IH, carry on with your activities and continue to follow the safety measures outlines below."
IH has set up a school exposures page where updated information on possible exposures in the region is released.
During her press briefing on Monday, Dr. Bonnie Henry reported that there's been limited transmission and no widespread outbreaks during the first six-weeks of the school year.
