COVID-19 outbreak declared at long-term care facility in Kelowna

A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at Cottonwoods Care Centre in Kelowna.

Two members of staff and 10 residents have tested positive for the disease.

Interior Health said it has begun contact tracing.  

Cottonwoods is a long-term care facility operated by Interior Health, with 221 publicly funded beds.

As part of a series of preventive measures, the facility will now introduce a pause on all visits.
