Canada Day was big! Everywhere across the country people celebrated the 150th birthday with immense amounts of pride, spirit, and love.

In our very own downtown Kelowna, the streets were packed with Canadian pride in red and white.

Live music, family-fun activities, and food trucks entertained guests all while under the beautiful warm and sunny day.

KelownaNow went out to the bustling streets of Kelowna to ask those out and about to help us serenade our country with the National Anthem.

Whether it be our hockey, maple syrup, diversity or free health care, there are so many things that make Canada unlike anywhere else.

“Canada is a unique place in the world where you can be any kind of person you want to be,” one Kelowna resident said when asked why they are proud to be Canadian.

Although Canada's 150 didn't end with fireworks in Kelowna, the rest of the Okanagan Valley was light up with coloured filled skies.

Nevertheless, Canada didn't disappoint for the celebration of their 150th birthday.
