Another case of COVID-19 has popped up in a Kelowna school.

According to a memo sent out to the parents of Kelowna Christian School, a member of the KCS community tested positive for the virus. KCS did not mention whether it was a student or staff member who contracted the virus.

KCS is in the middle of an extended Remembrance Day break so the amount of time exposed students have to self-monitor is "minimal." Letters have already been sent out to cohorts potentially impacted by the exposure.

"We are supporting the Interior Health Authority as they undertake contact tracing to determine in any other members of our school community were in contact with the person who tested positive for COVID-19, and if any additional steps are required," wrote KCS.

The affected person is still self-isolating. Students will still be returning to school as normal despite the positive test.

More to come.
