City of Kelowna says a section of the Rail Trail will be closed this week

The city is advising all residents that a section of the Rail Trail is set to temporarily close on Tuesday.

Starting at 8 am, the trail will be closed between Richter and Gordon for “routine maintenance” of the outdoor sheltering site.

The site will be closed until Thursday, April 25, a release form the city says.

“Cyclists and pedestrians are advised to use Clement Avenue as an alternate route,” the release says.

According to the city, fencing and detour and closure signage will be in place during the closure.
