For the second year, Kelowna city engagement has been primarily digital, and with over 50,000 visits to the Get Involved page, a 25% increase from 2020, community members are elated to be able to provide input online in a quick and easy way.

Residents were asked to provide feedback on a variety of projects in 2021 including what to see at the Kelowna Community Theatre, vehicle usage on Knox Mountain, shared e-scooters, and how to upgrade accessible parking around the city.

More than 4,000 people participated in surveys, contributed to maps, shared stories, or asked questions. These contributions have influenced municipal decision-making and shaped projects as they move forward.

“Feedback from engagement helps Council and administration make informed decisions for all residents,” said Mac Logan, Infrastructure General Manager.

“More than ever, we are looking for ways to ensure residents have opportunities to learn more about City projects, understand the objectives and indicate priorities related to the investments and services the City delivers, whether it’s a letter on your doorstep, a survey or a meeting with staff.”

The city is promising many more opportunities to get involved in the new year, in order to have an impact on future projects you can create an account here.
