Kelowna residents are not happy after a Conservative Party leadership candidate hosted a rally in Kelowna, where he appeared to forget about social distancing.
Derek Sloan, a Member of Parliament for Hastings-Lennox and Addington, was in Kelowna on Tuesday. He spoke to a group of well over 50 people, none of whom were wearing masks or standing six feet apart.
Sloan tweeted about the experiencing, thanking residents for their "outpouring of support."

Many were quick to judge Sloan, especially with Kelowna being a hot spot for COVID-19 at the moment. Within the Interior Health region, there has been 391 total cases of the virus, with 161 being linked to a Kelowna cluster that first appeared on June 26.
Sloan's tweet got 199 responses on Twitter, loads of which were negative.

"The Coronavirus thanks you for your campaign," wrote another.
Sloan has not yet responded to the criticism he has faced for the rally. He appeared in Camrose this morning to a smaller group of residents.
