RCMP investigating suspicious apartment fire on Pandosy Street

Officials are investigating a suspicious apartment fire in the 1900 block of Pandosy Street. 

According to the Kelowna Fire Department, dispatchers received multiple 911 calls reporting heavy smoke coming from an apartment on the ground floor.

The building was evacuated sending residents out into the cold as crews battled to keep the blaze to a single unit in the multi unit complex.

Luckily, firefighters were able to knock down the blaze before it spread.

The initial dispatch called for 18 personnel with three engines, a ladder, command unit and safety unit, along with EHS and RCMP on scene.
