Crews use water from Mill Creek to put out suspicious bushfire

The Kelowna Fire Department was called to a bushfire in the Mount Baldy area shortly after noon today.

Upon arrival, crews found the fire on the west side of Mill Creek at the base of Mount Baldy.

"They gained access to the fire on ATVs from the end of McCurdy Place and established a water supply by drafting water from Mill Creek.

After reaching around 100 feet by 60 feet in size, the fire was fully extinguished.

As of now, the fire is considered suspicious in nature.
