The Kelowna Nordic Club is back with its third annual fundraiser for Kelowna General Hospital's Cardiac Care Unit.

It's called Stride and Glide.

Everyone is welcome at the Nordic Ski Club Saturday for the event.

The goal is to raise $75,000 for specialized heart pump to help patients with depressed or failing heart function.

There are distances between 6 and 15k for cross-country skiing and 5 or 10km for snowshoeing.

After that, there's a barbeque celebration with prizes.

Some skiers are already racking up kilometres that will be added up on Saturday in a 'Go the Distance for KGH' effort.

The club has raised an impressive $100,000 in the previous two events for the KGH Foundation.

Nordic is located about a half-hour southeast of Kelowna on McCulloch Road just off Hwy 33.
