UPDATE: Incident near UBC Okanagan campus cleared

(UPDATE: Jan. 7 at 6:54 am): The road has now been cleared, according to DriveBC.


(Original story: Jan. 7 at 5:55 am): A vehicle incident near the UBC Okanagan campus in Kelowna has caused delays along Hwy 97.

DriveBC first issued a notice about the incident at just before 4 am.

Its warning remains in place as of 5:45 am.

According to the traffic monitor, delays are expected in both directions along the road.

The incident occurred between Edwards Road and the UBCO overpass.
