Although it’s moved away from King’s Stadium, Kelowna’s signature music event will keep the name Denim on the Diamond.

The festival will return to City Park this summer for a second time and it will expand to three full days of music in its new home, from Aug. 30-Sept. 1 over Labour Day weekend.

Today, Thick as Thieves Entertainment (TOTE) revealed the highly-anticipated lineup for the sixth edition of Denim on the Diamond and there’s plenty to be excited about.

It started as a country festival, so we’ll start with Saturday’s lineup of country acts that will be headlined by Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard.

He’s half of the multi-platinum duo that produced 21 number one singles on country radio, but Hubbard is now paving his way as a solo artist and his new career path will bring him to Kelowna for Denim on the Diamond.

Fans can expect a mix of his solo material and plenty of Florida Georgia Line hits, which will make his set the perfect one to wrap up Saturday night.

The other country acts set to perform on the festival’s middle day are Matt Schuster and Alli Walker, with DJ VAVO keeping the vibes going between sets.

Friday is the first all-female lineup in Denim on the Diamond history and it will be co-headlined by Grammy-nominated artists K.Flay and Bishop Briggs.

They’ll be preceded by Jamie Fine and LOLO, who will set the stage for Friday’s co-headliners and start off the music festival with a bang.

Sunday will be another Denim on the Diamond first, as the festival will open itself up to an all-ages crowd for the first time in its history, as long as those under 19 are with a parent.

The final day includes sets from Juno Indigenous Artist of the Year nominee Aysanabee and Philadelphia’s own blues-rock sensation Mo Lowda & the Humble.

The headliner for Sunday, who has the task of wrapping up the entire three-day festival, is Kaleo, whose smash hit “Way Down We Go” has more than a billion streams.

Organizers say more artists will be announced at a later date.

“We're thrilled to bring Denim on the Diamond back to City Park for another year of incredible music and unforgettable moments," said Mitch Carefoot, co-owner of TOTE.

"This year's lineup is a testament to the diverse and dynamic nature of the music scene, and we can't wait to see the crowd rocking their denim attire and enjoying this memorable weekend."

Anyone who has registered for Denim on the Diamond’s email waiting list will have access to tickets at early bird prices starting today.

Tickets for Denim on the Diamond 2024 will go on sale to the general public on Friday, Feb. 16.
