When they arrived they found flames and smoke coming from the back of the four-unit residence.

Crews were able to knock down the fire relatively quickly, but not before it damaged half of the basement and upper suite.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it’s not deemed suspicious at this time.

Emergency Support Services are assisting seven adults, three children and a number of other animals who have been displaced by this fire.

The Kelowna Fire Department sent 19 crew members to this blaze.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help the victims of the fire.
