A local tattoo studio is stepping up to help a little girl from Kelowna who is currently battling cancer.

Two-year-old Kacey Gulbransen was diagnosed in July with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a fast-spreading sarcoma that starts in the soft tissue and expands to the bones.

Now, she and her mother Angela are living in Vancouver as she undergoes treatment and awaits surgery to remove the tumour that has formed near her bladder.

Hoping to help support the family’s new life, Dynamic Studios on Bernard Ave is mustering up a philanthropic event.

The downtown tattoo studio is pitching in by hosting a one-day-only Flash Tattoo Fundraiser on Sunday, Oct. 6.

Starting at 10 am the studio will open its doors to those who want to get inked for the cause, they will offer a variety of pre-drawn designs within different price ranges and all of the funds will go directly to supporting Kacey.

Those who wish to participate are asked to be prepared to come early as all artists will be on deck, in addition to some exciting guests, to tattoo on a first-come, first-serve basis until 6 pm.

For more information, head to the event's Facebook page.
