Emergency response teams were dispatched to Kelowna International Airport this morning after a plane was forced to cancel a take-off.

Air Canada Flight 8399 to Vancouver was discovered to have a mechanical fault and had to return to the gate at about 9:10 am.

As a precaution, a response team was sent to the scene.

YLW added: “The aircraft returned safely to the gate and passengers are now being offloaded from the plane and returned to the terminal.

“There was no disruption to scheduled flight service at YLW.”
