Families for Adolescent Recovery program launched in Kelowna

A non-profit organization that assists locals with substance use, mental health and family dynamic challenges has proudly unveiled a new program.

The Bridge Youth & Family Services has launched Families for Adolescent Recovery (FAR), which is designed to support parents and caregivers of youth experiencing substance use challenges.

“You are FAR from alone in this journey,” said a spokesperson from The Bridge. “This program is designed to provide families with the essential knowledge and resources they need during a critical time.”

According to the non-profit, FAR will offer vital education, strategies and resources to help families effectively navigate the recovery process.

The program includes workshops that will cover a range of key topics:


Workshops will be held at 5 pm on Oct. 22, Nov. 5 and Nov. 19.

Registration is required and participants can sign up by calling 250-763-0456 or emailing info@thebridgeservices.ca.

According to The Bridge, the program will aim to equip families with the necessary tools to support their loved ones through recovery while fostering resilience and understanding.
