While the Okanagan still sits in the dead of winter, Festivals Kelowna is already planning for a summer of fun.
However, with the organization’s current coordinator Nicolette Jacques set to leave the position to pursue her dream as a French Immersion teacher, Festivals Kelowna is hiring!
"Our niche is free, all ages appropriate, arts-based events. Although you will work under the direction of the executive director, the program co-ordinator will have flexibility to influence all aspects of the development, execution, and management of our events," Festivals Kelowna states in a news release.
Various duties include event concept development, selection and booking for performers, supervision of Parks Alive!, and delivery of events within a program budget.
Festivals Kelowna produces community festivals, events and programs, including:
- Parks Alive!
- Canada Day
- Buskers Program
- Pianos in Parks
- Arts on the Avenue
- New York New Years
Those interested in the position can send a resume to Festivals Kelowna by Feb. 14.
