When officers arrived, they saw the flames coming from the house’s roof and second-storey windows.

“The crews performed a defensive attack from the exterior and protected the other residences to the north and south,” said a KFD release that came through around midnight.

“Fire crews (remained) on scene as part of the building has collapsed and complete extinguishment is difficult.”

Fortunately, no one was on the property at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire has not been determined and it will be investigated today.
