Upon arrival, crews discovered smoke in the upstairs portion of the home and a pot that had been left on a hot stove.

While the kitchen cabinets were ruined by the blaze, the occupants used a fire extinguisher to knock down the flames before they could spread.

No injuries were reported, however, the home's occupants are staying with Emergency Support Services as the blaze left the house uninhabitable.

Three engines, one command unit and 15 firefighters responded to the scene.
