UPDATE: Glenmore Road reopens between Kelowna and Lake Country

(UPDATE: Nov. 27 @ 4:45 pm) - Traffic is flowing on Glenmore Road once again.

The section of road between John Hindle Drive near UBC Okanagan and Hwy 97 North in Lake Country was previously closed for nearly two hours after a “serious motor vehicle collision.”

Police didn't provide an update on whether there were any major injuries or the cause of the accident, but did thank the public for its patience while emergency crews worked to clear things up.

According to the Kelowna RCMP, the road is completely shut down between John Hindle Drive near UBC Okanagan and Hwy 97 North in Lake Country.

Police are calling the accident a “serious motor vehicle collision.”

They’re asking any motorists who are affected by the closure on Glenmore Road to be patient as they assess and clear the scene to plan an alternate route.
