Eight months after Level Nite Club shut its doors, Gotham Nightclub and Venue is ready to take its place.

After months of renovations, the newest part of Kelowna’s nightlife will open to the public for the first time on Friday.

Owners promise a revised layout, festival-class sound systems and various high-end finishes throughout the venue.

“We wanted to transform the venue and bring it up to modern standards,” said owner Eddy Racano, who also owns Sapphire Nightclub along with his brother Tony.

“It was capital intensive, but we’re very very happy with the finished product and are excited to open it up to the city.”

As the action returns to the two-storey building on Leon Avenue, one of the most popular weekly Kelowna events will be making its return as well.

A refreshed College Thursday is making its return and the first one is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 31.

DJ Sugarpoppz will be the weekly main act at College Thursday.

On opening night, Friday, Oct. 25, there will be a Halloween-themed Fruitcake event for the LGBTQ2+ community.

The following night, DJ Invizible will be in the building for the club’s Saturday main event, Gotham Carnivale.
