Heavy police presence observed in Kelowna this afternoon

(Original story: Feb. 14 @ 3:10 p.m.) - A heavy police presence has been observed in Kelowna this afternoon.

An armoured police vehicle was seen speeding with lights and sirens on towards the city's downtown. 

A spokesman for Kelowna RCMP said an investigation is under way.

Police have asked the media to refrain from publishing specific information while the operation is still active.
