To celebrate this year's Day of Difference, Interior Savings is harvesting potatoes at Helen’s Acres to mark the firm's International Credit Union Day on Thursday.

“Today we are fortunate enough to have Interior Savings Union out and part of their day of giving, they come out and volunteer for various organizations,” says Darcy Smith, executive director of Trinity Legacy.

“Most of these items and produce and vegetables end up in the food bank and various community groups to help support people in need,” says Cliff Ehnes, VP at Interior Savings Credit Union.

This week, the acreage will harvest over 15,000 pounds of potatoes, according to volunteer and communications director Amanda Watland.

Helen’s Acres is a non-profit and 99% of everything that’s grown is donated back to the community.
