Canadian DJ and producer Mickhel Patterson, professionally known as Gl0bal, is hosting a night of trap, bass and dubstep to celebrate the release of his new LP, Judgement Day.

The release party, which will take place on the third floor of Gotham Nightclub on Feb. 4, will also feature locals VONDOO and Kuhlosul.

“I’m hosting this event with the support of the Gotham Nightclub family and the Footwerk team to not only support my debut LP release, but help promote some of the talent we have in our community and bring back some of those fun events that encourage individuals like myself to get into music production,” Patterson explains.

Gl0bal has received over three million streams on Spotify and was recently nominated for Western Canada’s Electronic Artist of the Year award.

“Kelowna is filled with talented electronic music artists and DJs, and some of us have had our records played in front of tens of thousands of fans globally,” he says. “Unfortunately, due to our community size and lack of events, it is not a topic of discussion."

Gl0bal’s unique sound has earned the support of industry leaders such as DJ Snake, Tiesto, The Chainsmokers, Hardwell, Major Lazer and West Kelowna’s Excision.

Callum Strachan, also known as VONDOO, has music that ranges from heavy bass to emotional vibes, and it has been played at several festivals including EDC, Lost Lands and Lollapalooza.

With inspiration drawn from hip hop, dubstep and trap music, Mason Mohns, otherwise known as Kuhlosul, has a distinctive sound. Recently, he released a collaboration on Steve Aoki's imprint "Dim Mak" with Riot Ten.

Patterson adds: “I hope more electronic and DJ events are able to come back in the future.”
