(UPDATE: June 24, 2018) - Black Mountain Irrigation District (BMID) is stressing at this time that there is no outdoor watering permitted at this time due to the leak in their transmission line.
BMID's latest update says that customers may experience low pressure and some homes at higher elevations may have periods of no water due to continued use of outside water. BMID crews are working to repair the leak. They hope to have full pressure back by tonight.
BMID says they will have their next update this evening.
Kelowna residents unsure of who their water supplier is can get this information by going to Kelowna Joint Water Committee website and using the “who is my water supplier” tool.

Black Mountain Irrigation District is currently dealing with a leak in their main transmission line supplying the community from Mission Creek.
The leak is forcing them to shut off all irrigation water. The district says they have to shut off the flow in the line in order to undertake repairs, and there will be no outdoor watering until further notice.
Domestic water use will be available for indoor use only. Outside watering is not being allowed at this time. BMID is stressing that it is extremely important that customers follow the no watering request.
BMID water users in the Scotty Creek area are not subject to these restrictions at this time.
It is not currently known how long repairs will take.
