Jacob Forman, who faces three charges of second-degree murder in the deaths of his wife and two young daughters, has yet to enter a plea after making a third court appearance at Kelowna Law Courts this morning.

It was requested that the matter be adjourned for another month as they wait to receive disclosure from the crown. Forman made his third appearance this morning by video conference from an unknown institution. His last appearance was on Jan. 18.

Not many details are known yet in the case, and Glenn Verdurmen, who is representing Forman, said that they are not in a position to make a plea at this time.

He said that they hope to enter a plea in March, but that will depend on what kind of disclosure they receive.

“I've got decisions to make, and he’s got decisions to make,” Verdurmen said outside Kelowna Law Courts this morning.

When asked how his client is holding up, Verdurmen commented that he could only see what was going on through the video appearance.

“He appears to be fairly placid at this point in time. He understood what was going on in the process, so I can’t say too much more than that,” he said.

He was not able to comment on whether or not there will be a psychiatric evaluation for Forman, saying that it’s too early to say at this time.

He adds that they hope that a plea will come about by his next appearance, scheduled to take place on the morning of March 15, 2018.
