Since restaurants have been forced to shut their doors to sit-in customers, there’s been a huge scramble to make adjustments.

Most have condensed their hours and are offering some kind of delivery or takeout options in an effort to keep their loyal customers fed and continue making some sort of income during the COVID-19 pandemic.

You’ve likely seen some of your favourite restaurants make announcements regarding this on social media, but it’s not easy to keep track of with so much going on.

KelownaNow is all about making your life easier and supporting local, so we’ve launched an online restaurant directory that will hopefully make navigating the world of “eating out” a little bit easier during these stressful times.

It utilizes the location tracking on your phone to sort restaurants based on what’s closest to you and you’ll be able to click into each one to get more details.

That will include new hours, takeout or delivery options, specials, links to their social media pages, contact information and more.

We’ve already included this type of information for some of the listings, but will be relying on restaurants to reach out to Alexa Anderson by email to claim their listing.

That will allow the restaurant owner to update their listing whenever they want and add any kind of information they deem to be important.

If for some reason your restaurant is not currently listed, Alexa will be able to add it as well and get you all set up!

This is the first of many directories to come as we hope to help local businesses stay as prosperous as possible while the world tackles these unprecedented times together.

Click this link to check out the directory and reach out to Alexa if you’re the owner of a local restaurant that wants to have control over your listing!
