It's been a cooler, cloudier week, but the hot and sunny weather is set to return this weekend!

Whether you’re looking for a whole day event to entertain the family, or just a few hours to treat yourself, there’s lots going on day and night in the Okanagan.

Check out our weekend guide below with a selection of our favourite events taking place.

Friday, May 26

Bee Tour and Tasting

See what all the buzz is about at Meadow Vista’s Winery. Take part in a tour of their beehives to learn all about bees and enjoy a wine and honey tasting. You also have the option to add a farm to table lunch. More info here.

Broke Down Trucks at Vibrant Vine

Listen to the Howse brothers and friends as they perform their style of rock ‘n’ roll music live. Their debut EP came out in 2020 and they’ve been making music ever since. Seats are first come, first served at the wineries grounds. Tickets here.

Saturday, May 27

Broga & Brews  

Combine two of the greatest inventions, yoga and beer, at this event catered to beginner level yogis who also love a pint. Kelowna Beer Institute is hosting the event which includes a beer of your choice with ticket entry. More info here.

Walk to Raise Money for MS

Get some steps in for a great cause with the MS walk in West Kelowna. Canada has one of the highest rates of multiple sclerosis, and with this event you can raise money to help. There will be a 2km or 5km route available on the day. More info here.

Catwalk Class for Beginners

Strut your stuff on the catwalk and have fun whilst doing it! Rosebud modelling is providing catwalk classes for those who want to try being a model for the day and build their confidence in the process. Heels are required for the experience and you must be 16 years old or more. More info here.

Queerphoria Presents: Menne Fatale 

Dance the afternoon away with this full line-up of Drag Kings performing at Vice & Virtue Brewing Co. It’s the first event of this kind hosted by Queerphoria and the theme is Dad Fad, so you’re encouraged to put on your new balances and dress like your favourite dad! More info here

Puff 'N’ Paint 

Create your own piece of high-end artwork with a night of smoking and painting at Cannabis Cottage in Penticton. The class will be led by local artists from snow and swirl artistry and the ticket includes your choice of a THC or CBD drink and a joint. Tickets here

Davison Orchards 90th Anniversary

Bring the family to this historic celebration of a favourite spot in the Okanagan! You can meet four generations of farmers, share some anniversary cake with them and take part in a whole host of other activities such as orchard tours and picking apples.

Sunday, May 28

Wiseacre Distillery Spring Release Party

Sip on a gin cocktail whilst enjoying some idyllic farm surroundings! There will be live music from Canadian singer-songwriter Andrew Allen and tickets will include a mini cocktail and bite pairing on arrival. Tickets here

Time: 3:30pm-7:30pm
Price: $55 for adults, $25 for kids, free for under 5s


Smashed Closet Comedy and Open Mic

Release your hidden stand-up comic and take a turn at this open mic comedy night. Try your material and see how many laughs you can get at Unleashed Brewery before one of the professional comedians takes over. More info here.

Okanagan Antique Tractor and Machinery Fair

Explore some old and interesting vehicles, that the kids will love, at this all day event! Tractors, vintage cars and even a miniature train ride will be at this family event. You can also enjoy hot dogs, pancakes and other refreshments as you go about the day. 

Time: Saturday and Sunday 8am-5pm
