The Kelowna City Concert Band is hosting a couple of free events in June.

With a variety of music including concert band classics, film score adaptations and rock and roll, the band of over 60 musicians led by director Robert Payne is ready to entertain.

The band will play at Guisachan Heritage Park on June 14 and at the Island Stage in Waterfront Park on June 21.

“Gather up your friends and family, bring your lawn chairs and maybe even a picnic, and settle in for a musical feast,” said Kate Haig, a spokesperson for the band.

The Kelowna City Concert Band has been performing for over 130 years, making it Kelowna’s longest running organization.

More information about the Central Okanagan musicians can be found here.

Both outdoor concerts begin at 7 pm.
