It’s not just the winner that gets rewarded when a winning lottery ticket is sold in British Columbia.

The retailer also receives a monetary reward for selling a big enough winning ticket, which was the case here in Kelowna last month.

More Info!

The Mac’s Convenience Store on Springfield Road, across from Orchard Park Mall, sold a $1-million winning ticket to Nick Pisio.

Pisio matched all 10 numbers to win the $1-million guaranteed prize draw on Nov. 7, 2018, a life-changing win for him.

It also meant a nice chunk of change for Mac’s, who will be inviting the public to celebrate with them on Wednesday.

The store will be giving away 100 free Lotto 6/49 tickets, coffee, snacks and other treats, while supplies last.

The fun will begin at 2 p.m. on Wednesday and the freebies are sure to go fast, so make sure you’re on hand!
