People visiting Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery can expect some minor disruptions over the next few weeks.

The cemetery, which opened for the year in March, is undergoing irrigation improvements, which are expected to last until the end of May.

Most of the work will take place on the side of cemetery roads, but it does mean no access to on-site water for fresh cut flowers until May 29.

Visitors can also expect to see the grass remain dormant until irrigation resumes in June.

Despite this work, visitors will continue to have access to all sites and cemetery hours are unchanged.

Gates are open seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. until Halloween.
