Kelowna RCMP investigating after man dies following medical emergency in taxi

Kelowna Mounties are investigating after a man died following a medical emergency in a taxi.

Police said it happened at about 12:30 pm on Thursday. 

Officers were called to the intersection of Harvey Avenue and Chandler Street when a man suffered what is believed to be a medical emergency while travelling in a taxi.

“Unfortunately efforts to resuscitate the man were unsuccessful,” said Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy. 

“Our condolences go out to his loved ones.”

Police said criminality is not suspected.
