UPDATE: Missing 15-year-old girl found safe, Kelowna police confirm

(UPDATE: Aug. 24 @ 12:45 pm) - Two weeks after the initial plea for information was issued by the RCMP, Destiny Redford has been found.

Police said the teenager is "safe and sound."

The Edmonton girl went missing while living with her grandparents in Kelowna on Aug. 6.

(Original story: Aug. 10 @ 5:20 pm) - The Kelowna RCMP is requesting the public to be on the lookout for a 15-year-old girl. 

Destiny Redford, who normally lives with her mother in Edmonton, is currently residing with her grandparents in Kelowna after displaying concerning behaviour at home.

Destiny, who has been living with her grandparents since June, was last seen by her grandmother on Aug. 6.

She is described as a very petite female, who stands at approximately 5'2” with a slim build and weighing approximately 100 lbs with long brown hair and bluish green eyes.

RCMP request that if a member of the public knows the whereabouts of Destiny or has any information to call 911 or the RCMP non-emergency line at (250)762-3300.
