A Kelowna company is being recognized for having the best garden centre in Canada.
Last week, Bylands Garden Centre took home the top honour in the garden centre category at the 2019 National Awards of Landscape Excellence.
Bylands separated itself from the competition with their significant contributions to both the community and environment through special projects as well as in-store policies.
One of those special community projects is the annual Santa fly-in event, where Bylands flies Santa Claus all the way from the north pole to Kelowna via helicopter.
More than 130 people attended this year's ceremony held in Abbotsford, BC, where companies and professionals demonstrating the best of the best in the landscape horticulture industry were recognized.
