SOPA Fine Arts is set to present a new exhibition titled ‘Voix de Lumière,’ which is French for ‘Voices of Light,’ with works of artist Ulrich Panzer.

From April 6 to May 28, visitors will have the chance to view Panzer’s transcendent disc-shaped art with concentric colours.

According to the gallery, these works often provide a reflective and ethereal viewing experience.

In his art, Panzer explores the experience of synesthesia, the mixing of perceptions of senses such as hearing colours or seeing sounds.

Over 30 years of artistic exploration has led Panzer from his studies at the Kunstakademie Münster to delving into the research of colour, sound and architecture in Asian cultures.

His research brought him to India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Tibet, where he completed a year-long residency 11,000 feet above sea level in his studio. Later exploration of this theme led him to Austria and Italy.

The German-born artist currently spends time between Berlin and his art studio and home in Kingston, ON.

Panzer has offered workshops and lectures on the healing properties of sound, colour and architecture.

In addition, he performs throat singing, which is a harmonic, deeply resonant style of singing that delivers meditative frequencies.

The metaphysical exhibit will host an opening night party on April 6 at 7 pm.

More information about the exhibition can be found here.
