Kelowna continues to be a hot destination for tourists in Canada.

The City has made it into the top five travel destinations in the country according to Airbnb’s travel trends list.

With 1.3 million people booked to travel to Airbnbs within Canada this summer so far, the most popular places as well as the most wanderlust-evoking listings have been put together.

The Okanagan Valley was also named one of the top wine destinations around the world. In 2017, 125,857 total guests arrived in the Okanagan Valley, bringing in over $21 million for Airbnb hosts. A typical host earned $5,577 last year from Airbnb guests.

For Canadians planning travel in Canada this summer - whether it’s a road trip out east or a jump across the prairies - here are the top five destinations in the country they are travelling to:

  1. Toronto, Ont.
  2. Montreal, Que.
  3. Vancouver, B.C.
  4. Kelowna, B.C.
  5. Victoria, B.C

It’s no wonder Kelowna ended up as the fourth most popular travel destination with listings like this!
