Kelowna man arrested after search of his house uncovers drugs, weapons and ammunition

One male has been arrested following an investigation led by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia.

The investigation resulted in the discovery of drugs, weapons and ammunition at a residence in the Upper Mission.

It was initiated on July 11th, 2017, when officers seized two kilograms of cocaine from the man’s car while conducting enforcement action.

The following day, a search was conducted at a residence in the 400 block of McCarren Ave in Kelowna.
 

While searching the home, officers found the following:

George Zacharias, a 46-year-old Kelowna resident, has been arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.

He remains in custody and will likely face further charges.

His next court date is July 20th in Abbotsford Provincial Court.
