Colin Michael Bayley is back in jail again.

The 30-year-old Kelowna man was taken into custody on Aug. 15, 2019 after failing to comply with his bail conditions for the seventh time.

Bayley is facing a charge of aggravated assault in relation to an incident in downtown Kelowna and was arrested for the alleged crime on May 15.

He was released on bail, but a month later was brought back into custody after failing to answer the door during an RCMP-conducted curfew check.

Police haven’t specified what conditions of his bail were breached this time around, but confirmed Bayley was back in jail and expected to appear in court today.

“The Kelowna RCMP SEU remains committed to monitoring offenders who reside in our community,” said Cpl. Nick Brodeur.

Along with the one count of aggravated assault, Bayley now faces seven counts of breach of recognizance.
