Man charged with 13 counts of voyeurism in connection to hidden camera at Kelowna winery

A 43-year-old Kelowna man faces a rash of voyeurism related charges in connection to a hidden camera in a staff washroom at Summerhill Pyramid Winery.

Ian Michael Leighton, an employee of the winery at the time, has been charged with 13 counts of voyeurism, three counts of making of child pornography, one charge of possession of child pornography and one charge of obstruction of justice.

The charges followed an investigation that began after the discovery of a small hidden camera in a staff washroom at the winery on Aug. 23.  

Police seized evidence at the time of the arrest which was processed over the past two months to determine how many victims may be involved before laying charges. 

Following the news of the camera's discovery, the CEO of Summerhill Pyramid Winery confirmed that the man was no longer a staff member.
