Kelowna residents have teamed up to support Ukraine by organizing an online fundraiser that runs until April 6 at noon.
All funds raised will go towards providing baby formula, diapers, food and medical kits to Ukrainians, as well as tactical protective gear for frontline fighters.
Cash will also go towards purchasing an ambulance.
Various silent auction items have been donated by local businesses and range from gift cards to hotel stays.
Among the treats on offer are a two-night stay at a luxurious Big White chalet and a custom photoshoot in Kelowna.
“We're just Kelowna citizens who are trying to make a difference in the lives of other people in Ukraine,” said Cindy Shaw, one of the organizers of the Ukrainian Canadian Volunteer Association (UCVA) fundraiser.
Items such as T-shirts, art and Ukrainian wreaths are also for sale to support the event.

“We would be appreciative of any community support,” said Shaw.
UCVA hopes to raise $15,000.
