Knife-wielding man arrested in Kelowna parking lot

A 29-year-old man is awaiting a future court date after being arrested with a knife in a Kelowna parking lot. 

According to RCMP, on August 4th around 6:00 pm, front line officers flooded the parking lot of 2200 Baron Road after a complaint on a man with a knife acting aggressively. 

“Investigation showed that the suspect had approached another man and allegedly assaulted him,” says Cpl Jocelyn Noseworthy of the Kelowna RCMP. 

“Fortunately, the knife was not used in the assault, and the victim did not suffer significant injuries as a result of the incident.”

An investigation is currently ongoing and Kelowna RCMP is looking to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident and has not come forward yet.
