Another Kelowna business has closed its doors.

Lake City Bowling and Billiards announced via Facebook on Monday morning that the establishment is now permanently closed.

After 15 years in the business, Lake City Bowl has become known by the community as a hub for good times and, according to comments on the post from locals, it will be dearly missed.

From hitting the lanes to relaxing in the Brooklyn Lounge, and even offering a space for popular Big West Wrestling events, Lake City Bowl was much more than your typical bowling alley.

Throughout the decade-and-a-half, the business had earned a reputation in Kelowna’s underground music scene, offering a space for shows and helping to give many local bands and artists their start.

NowMedia has reached out to the management staff for more information and has received word the owners are currently on vacation.

We will publish more on this story as information becomes available.
