Learn how to use bus bike racks during Kelowna's Go By Bike Week

Kelowna cyclists taking part in the Go By Bike Week from May 29 to June 4 are encouraged to make BC Transit a part of their commute plans, if necessary.

BC Transit staff will be on site at several “celebration stations" around the region to help promote sustainable transportation and teach people how to load their bikes onto the buses.

Those stations will include:


All BC Transit buses have bike racks for people to combine two forms of sustainable transportation, says the transportation company.

This can be useful if the weather changes throughout the day and makes cycling less favourable if it starts to rain or becomes too warm in the afternoon.

People are reminded that bike space is limited and isn’t always guaranteed.

Residents can register to win local and provincial prizes. Individuals and teams can register and log their bike riders with even single rides counting towards entry for a prize draw.
